Charity Launch 2019
Sunday 13th January saw the official launch of LSET as a charity along with a special Open Afternoon at Homework Club on Tuesday 15th January.
Heathfield Church hosted the LSET launch during their Sunday morning service. We were delighted to welcome special guest The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Cllr June Hitchen. The Lord Mayor, as well as being a local resident, has been a great supporter of the development of the work over the last 10 years; attending events, sourcing funding for various activities, always offering encouragement throughout.
Other guests included representatives of GMP the community police, MCC council, TLG, Scripture Union, and other friends traveling from as far North Wales.
The service was followed by a lunch of meat and potato pie and afterwards we enjoyed a delicious cream tea with clotted cream, kindly donated by Rodda's and jam, donated by Duerr's.
On Tuesday we welcomed visitors to enjoy another cream tea at our Homework Club session, including representatives from Northward's Housing, and the Water Adventure Centre and members of Heathfield Church.
